Its been such a joy to finally watch these songs take flight, some of them have been with us for a long time now and have etched within them countless makeovers. Making an album is kind of like the birth of a child, there’s an enormous amount of preparation, planning and hope thrown into its incubation. Then the creative process, or actual labour carries its own energy, sometimes it can be harrowing or exhausting but we were among the lucky and it was such a ‘gift’. Sometimes its just inspired, the timing, the people surrounding you, the energy and support they provide, the talent and enthusiasm they bring to the party. We are so grateful and excited about this album, not to mention as overwhelmed as new parents who’ve just realised that now the real work begins…still, we’re more than ready to share this baby with the world.
But is it indietronica? Or is it electro pop? Or something else? … We just can’t work it out! haha
